Social Mobility Disorder (SMD) is a coordinated set of adaptive behavioral changes that develop in individuals and societies strained by generations of economic pressure, social stratification and inequality. This is especially true for those at the bottom of class based systems. SMD can accompany rapid changes in access to basic goods and services such as recessions or fascist political regimes. Strangely, the accompanied feelings of desperation somehow aid survival, though the mechanism is only partially understood. It is estimated that 99% of the world’s population is either infected or affected by social mobility disorder. Symptoms can last for a lifetime and seems to be passed from generation to generation leading some researchers to believe SMD may be a genetic based phenomenon. Common means of transmission include industrial education, crass consumerism, corporate wage slavery and self-righteous religious institutions as well as political propaganda.
This modern psycho-social disorder, is accompanied by illness responses which include destructive tendencies toward: fear, paranoia, aggression, lethargy, depression, anorexia, obesity, sleepiness, hyperalgesia, obsessiveness, excessive grooming, failure to concentrate, familial instability, disassociative magical thinking, and sadistic behavior towards the environment and other individuals or groups. Its most visible suffers include the very poor, suburban and metropolitan populations whose life is spent in misery or fake happiness.
Because of the debilitating trance like state produced by SMB, only on very very rare occasions, has social mobility disorder manifest itself in a motivational state. Such a rare positive state can lead to personal transformation, cultural revolt, and social change that reorganizes priorities in order to cope with other pathological behavior beginning to be seen in individuals at upper levels of the social structure. Thus SMB in its best is reformative and restorative. From strife comes hope. However, Class action lawsuits have had only limited success in laboratory trials. Egalitarianism and extinction are the only known scientifically proven natural cure for SMD.
